Market Street Sound creates custom scores, original songs, remixes, sound design, voice-over, and mixes for advertising, film, television, gaming and new media. In today's marketplace, music plays an increasingly important role in communicating your message. We believe in Sound that Moves. That¹s what Market Street Sound is all about. Creating music, mixes, ambience and effects that ultimately move people to pay attention. To stop. To listen. To get in the right mood. And ultimately, to get them to do what you envision them doing: buying a product, calling a number, feeling something, browsing a website, riding a boat, hitting a beach, etc.
Creating sound that moves is a process that moves as well. It¹s unpretentious, collaborative, laid-back, quick and above all, fun. It¹s like hanging out with your buddies and creating something cool. Except your buddies have a load of awesome equipment and are technically skilled and musically gifted.

Record and Mix: We have created thousands of final mixes for TV and radio spots. We have created countless mixes for records and film. We also provide 5.1 surround mixes. We have developed processes for making our work sound better and louder on air than the work of almost any competitor. |

Who am I talking to ? When you initiate a session with Market Street Sound you'll be speaking with the composer or engineer who'll be seeing your project through to completion. Because we know your time is valuable, there are no layers of account people to wade through before being heard. And, we absolutely refuse to have one of those automated phone systems designed to waste your time. And if you have one of those, shame on you. |
Do we record bands? We do several artist records
per year, but those are typically in-house development or major label deals. If you wish to have your project considered, give us a call. Please do not send Mp3's without contacting us first. |
Are we hiring? Not at present, but feel free to send us a resume and we will keep it on file for future reference. We also provide non-paid internships on a limited basis, call if you're a student and interested. |
| Why am I hearing garbage at the end of my spots and/or the voice is low? You are using iTunes to play your new mix, aren't you? The good folks at iTunes think they know better how music should sound. Go to your iTunes preferences and then click on the playback tab. Disable "Crossfade songs", "Sound Enhancer", and "Sound Check". Also, if iTunes sees a file with the same or very similar name and file length it will just keep playing the old one, and not the new one that you've just downloaded.. This can be a real pain during the approval/revision process. We field questions about this just about every day. Thanks Apple. |
