Street Sound is expanding! Creative Director Rob Deaner is pleased to announce that Dan
Ferraro formerly of Suite Sounds, Inc. is joining the team as Managing Director. And to make sure
that he feels at home right away, we are constructing a brand new
studio just for Dan. Market Street Sound will expand into the 4th
floor at One Market and construction has already begun. |

The same great people who designed the "A" room on the 3rd floor, The Sextant Group, are handling the acoustic design of the new room which will feature a large "surround sound" capable control room with two isolation rooms. The new "Studio C" will feature a fully loaded Fairlight Fame System, video sync and layback, large plasma video monitors, and a full compliment of outboard gear. And of coarse, just like "Studio A" we'll have plenty of windows with views over the rivers.

| We expect to have the room completed by January 1 of 2007, although Dan will be joining us on December 1st. And armed with a couple of microphones, we expect to get a whole bunch of new construction sound effects! |

Although this will be another "one-of-a-kind" room for Pittsburgh's production community just as our "Studio A" is, it's not just about the big shiny stuff. Dan Ferraro has a long and exceptional career being the best audio engineer in the city. Not only does Dan hear things that nobody else can (no, not voices. that's been cured), he can take the gear apart and somehow when he puts it back together, it works.
We are excited about our growth, our new studio, but mostly about Dan coming on board! So, why the move to Market Street Sound? According to Dan:
7. Better Pizza
6. Windows!!!!!!!
5. To work with a friend “Zoe”
4. closer bath rooms
3. closer parking
2. Rob’s Coffee
1. The urge to use a unmanned elevator |
