The studio plans that Rob originally drew on a napkin over lunch with Dan were passed on to Phil Isaly of PEI Construction and Mark Valente of The Sextant Group to finalize. We took over an additional floor at One Market Street, gutted it, then started from scratch. After a couple months of backbreaking construction and wiring, we loaded in the gear and flipped the switch. To our amazement, nothing blew up. Encouraged, we decided to put identical Fairlight systems in the other two rooms to compliment the existing Nuendo and ProTools systems.
This is a very exciting period of growth for us. With tie lines that run between the fully gigabit networked studios, the ability to spread different aspects of a single project across all the rooms simultaneously allows us to focus our assets where they are needed most. Although each of the rooms function as self-contained studios, for larger projects this allows for much greater flexibility and speed.
